Pilates is a fantastic way to look after both your body and mind. I support people to develop strength, flexibility, body awareness and balance to improve fitness and wellbeing. Pilates can help with general aches and pains by increasing range of motion in your joints and stretching tight muscles. Focussing on the core (the 'powerhouse') and spinal mobility you can improve your posture and help alleviate imbalances in the body that can lead to injury or pain. You will feel fitter and stronger - look good and feel good. Pilates is low impact therefore looks after your joints and helps to keep your bones strong through strength building exercises. We use mat-based Pilates exercises and small equipment such as blocks, balls and bands to aid precision and challenge.
