Lumbar Spine Rehabilitation 1 - MELBOURNE

This full day workshop focuses on the lumbar spine, covering key physiological elements of a range of back pain presentations, lumbo-pelvic assessment & exercise selection.

As rehab professionals working in a space that includes back pain problems - whether diagnosed or not, we need to be able to spot these presentations and understand why we are prescribing the exercises we select. We also need to clearly understand the sequencing when strengthening the back while maintaining a stable base.

By the end of the day you should have a sound knowledge of the "what" and "why" that will differentiate your assessment and exercise choices for a range of conditions from simple strains through to more complex presentations including lumbar discal injuries, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, facet joint strains, nerve root compression & SIJ dysfunction.

The workshop will include some practical elements and leads into the more practically based Lumbar Rehab 2.
