Gundog - Level 1

Our Level 1 Gundog course is designed for pet gundogs and active breeds who would benefit from channelling their natural instincts in a fun, positive, and structured way. Over six sessions run every other week, we’ll introduce the key foundations of gundog training through force-free, game-based methods, helping you and your dog build stronger teamwork and practical skills.

What you’ll cover:
Whistle cues – introduction to recall (3 pips) and sit (1 long pip).
Retrieves – shaping a reliable pick-up and delivery.
Steadiness – learning to wait calmly around distraction.
Foundations – place board work, focus, and handler engagement.
Scent work – fun exercises to develop your dog’s nose and problem-solving skills.

Course details:
6 weekly sessions (1 hour each) in a safe outdoor environment.
Small group size (maximum 6 dogs) for individual support.
Positive, reward-based training only – no force, fear, or pressure.
Suitable for all breeds from 6 months upwards.
