This week’s class with Lewis will begin with gentle solo tuning, incorporating ground-based movement patterns, mobilisations, and deliberate limitations to support purposeful improvisation. In contact, the focus will be on autonomous listening and attending to the interplay between distal and proximal touch in our contact dances. Towards the end of the class, a simple score will guide the dancing between duets and trios, while also supporting the practice of joining dances that have already begun and leaving them to continue in our absence.
