Primary Mathematics Subject Knowledge Enhancement Course

As the focus for Mastery teaching in Primary schools increases we are pleased to offer an NCETM approved Subject Knowledge Enhancement course to support primary teachers and teaching assistants in ensuring that their subject knowledge is up-to-date and able to cope with the requirements of the new primary programme of study.

Through successful completion participants will be:

gain an understanding of the principles of Teaching for Mastery
confident in their mathematical understanding
confident in explaining maths to pupils
inspired and enthused by mathematics
able to use and develop classroom activities and tasks for teaching Mathematics in the primary sector
