Details

This course will be beneficial for support staff, teachers, learning mentors and tutors. It has been specifically designed to give an understanding of SEND as well as provide a variety of strategies to aid learning in the classroom. During the session delegates will develop their basic understanding and knowledge of a range of conditions, including ASC, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia and will leave with an awareness of the difficulties students may face in the classroom and strategies to help their learning.

What we will cover:
Gain an overview of Autism, Dyslexia and ADHD;

Exploring some practical strategies and ideas to ensure inclusion;

Look at effective ways to communicate;

Understand how sensory impairments affect social learning;

Look at ways to make break times accessible for all.

The course is suitable for lunchtime supervisors, catering staff, Office staff, Teaching Assistants and support staff working in Early Years , Primary, Secondary and SEN schools.
