Playing with the Odds 2020

This seminar is for club players who have got past the beginner stage and want to improve. The following topics will be covered :-

• Basic probabilities on how suits normally break
• When to finesse and when not
• Vacant places & which hand is more likely to hold a particular honour card
• Combining chances in different suits
• ‘Restricted choice’

There will be a discussion of sample hands followed by some practice hands. The aim is to show the sort of thinking that is natural for experienced players.
