Welcome to Newlife Upholstery Academy, where we offer friendly, hands-on upholstery workshops every Thursday and Friday at our workshop in Needham Market, Suffolk.
⏰ Class times: 9:30am – 4:00pm (includes a 1-hour lunch break). 🥪 Tea and coffee. 👥 Expert tutor: Nick as a second generation traditionally trained upholster.
🪡 You’ll learn how to:
- Master traditional & modern upholstery techniques
- Gain confidence using professional tools safely
- Reupholster your own project (footstool, chair, ottoman, etc.)
- Add finishing touches for a professional-quality look
📦 What’s included:
✅ All tools and staple guns provided
✅ Wide range of upholstery sundries available (foam, horsehair, hessian, webbing, etc.) – purchase by the metre or even by the square inch
✅ Option to bring your own fabric or choose from our in-house selection
📌 Recommended projects: Small to medium items (footstools, dining chairs, ottomans) are ideal for a one-day session. Larger pieces (armchairs, sofas) are welcome but will usually need multiple sessions.
