Space at Hutt, Wellington and Wairarapa Playcentres
Space for you and your baby at Playcentre would love to share in your parenting journey. At Space, you and your baby will connect with other new parents & their babies as you explore parenting & children's development in a safe, facilitated environment. Your Space group will meet weekly, giving you & your baby the chance to make real connections during your baby's first year.
WAITING LIST - If a programme is full please add yourself to the waiting list, you can add yourself to as many waiting lists as you require. You will be notified by Bookwhen if a place becomes available. If you get an email letting you know of an available place and you are already booked into a different programme. Please use the code BWB123 to book without needing to pay twice. This code will only work if you are on a waiting list and are already booked into a Space programme. Once you have rebooked please contact karyn.wick@playcentre.org.nz so that you can be removed from the original programme you had booked into.

Programme Fees
Programme fees - after 1st September 2026.
For the Space at Playcentre Programme (approx. 30 weeks) PAY NOW $120
Twins receive a reduced programme fee of $60 for the second twin.
For the Babies Can Play Programme (approx 10 weeks) PAY NOW $50
For babies 10 months to 2 years.
If you wish to book into a programme and do not have a credit or debit card OR you want to apply for a WINZ Childcare Subsidy OR need to arrange a payment plan, please email lowernorth.programmes@playcentre.org.nz .
Refund policy
All places are non refundable
Playcentre Aotearoa is under no obligation to refund or transfer your money in the event that you are unable to attend part of, or the entire programme. It may be possible to attend an alternative session but this is dependent upon availability and must be arranged with Programme Administrator lowernorth.programmes@playcentre.org.nz.
Cancellation policy
Programmes may be cancelled or postponed if bookings do not reach a minimum of 12 babies. A full refund will be forwarded if the programme is cancelled.
WINZ Childcare Assistance
WINZ Childcare Assistance is available, if you would like forms sent to you please email lowernorth.programmes@playcentre.org.nz or phone Katrina on 027 808 6679.
Babies over 5 months old
If your baby will be more than 5 months or older when the next Space groups start, there a place may be available in an existing programme. If you can't see a group that is appropriate for your babies age, please email lowernorth.programmes@playcentre.org.nz with your name, baby's name, date birth and preferred Space group location.
To Book
To book, click on the programme you want below, click 'select' on the programme fee you want, then click ‘view selection’, 'book now' and complete the details requested. Please only select multiple tickets for multiple babies under the same carer (attendee). If booking for a friend complete a separate booking. If the course you want to join is fully booked please join the wait list; click on the session you want then click 'Join Wait List' and fill in the details.
