Wheelbase Big Demo Weekend 2026

This is the original and biggest mountain bike demo in the UK and brings together some of the World’s best MTB manufacturers for one big weekend in the Lake District! Our Wheelbase Lake District store will be hosting an action-packed weekend of riding; with the latest, greatest eMTBs and Mountain Bikes available to ride on some of the best trails in the Lake District.
We’ll have a huge fleet of eMTBs and Mountain Bikes from world's best brands. You can now book your dream ride online, selecting each bike that you want to test ride during each time-slot available, with rides going out at 9.30am, 11.30am 1.30pm and 3.30pm on Saturday and 10am, 12pm and 2pm on Sunday.

How?

The 2026 edition will bring together some of the world’s best mountain bike brands for one BIG weekend of mountain bike riding at our Lake District HQ in Staveley. There’s a huge fleet of mountain and e-mountain bikes available to demo on fully guided rides around the stunning Kentmere Valley. Everyone is welcome from beginners to seasoned experts. All demo rides need to be booked in advance through our Big Demo website. Demo bikes are £15.00 to book per ride. Online booking will be live early February '26.
