Details

What: This is a 2-day accredited hand fixation workshop in combination with Medartis aimed at plastic and orthopaedic consultants and trainees who deal with hand fractures. (Please note that the course is followed by a 1-day wrist fixation workshop on 28 February).

The faculty consist of national and international hand surgeons, with a high faculty to delegate ratio. The course will consist of a balanced mix of lectures, practical sessions (using saw bones) and discussion groups. Topics covered during the 2 days include:

K-wires in fracture fixation
Surgical approaches to the hand: metacarpal and phalanges
Condylar fractures
Locking plates
Rolando fractures

The course fee includes lunch and online course materials.
