BABY COLLEGE® Booking Terms & Conditions (Canada)
These conditions apply to all services provided by BABY COLLEGE® in Canada.
BABY COLLEGE® provides an enriching development programme for children up to three years of age while offering parents and caregivers helpful information about their developing infant or toddler. Parents/caregivers are expected to support that aim and must remain in attendance throughout each BABY COLLEGE® class.
BABY COLLEGE® operates a system of reserved places. Once your child is enrolled following submission of a completed booking and payment of fees in advance, your place is guaranteed for the block of classes for which you have registered.
BABY COLLEGE® requests 30 days’ notice if you wish to withdraw your child from a block of classes. If less than 30 days’ notice is given, we reserve the right not to offer a refund of fees. If you are paying for classes using a monthly payment plan through the FranScape system, 30 days’ notice is required.
BABY COLLEGE® reserves the right to cancel your child’s place at the class teacher’s discretion. If classes must be cancelled for reasons beyond our control (e.g., severe weather, venue issues, public health guidance), an alternative date or online class may be offered.
Please advise your class teacher if your child will be absent from any class. Refunds are not given for temporary absence from classes (for example, holidays or minor illness).
Payment for classes is strictly in advance. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and we encourage prompt payment to avoid disappointment.
Classes begin and end on time to support smooth routines for everyone. Parents/caregivers are encouraged to arrive at the venue at least five minutes before the class begins. Late arrival can be stressful and may distract other participants.
Your child will benefit most from classes when you remain focused on the activities and actively encourage your child’s participation and appropriate behaviour. If your child becomes extremely upset or agitated, please step out of the room until they are calm again. Practising class activities at home will enhance your shared experience and support your child’s development.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or nominated caregiver. Details of any caregiver who may attend classes with your child must be provided in advance. BABY COLLEGE® does not offer childcare.
BABY COLLEGE® classes usually operate in scheduled blocks throughout the year (your class teacher will advise specific dates). Every effort is made to ensure classes run as planned, but if cancellation is unavoidable, parents/caregivers will be contacted before the start time and an alternative class will be arranged where possible.
Class numbers are strictly limited. BABY COLLEGE® reserves the right to offer an alternative class if the chosen class is full or to place your details on a waiting list.
Fees include tuition and use of BABY COLLEGE® equipment.
In the event of a complaint, BABY COLLEGE® aims to resolve any problem directly with the attending parent/caregiver. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, BABY
COLLEGE® shall not be liable for any loss or damage beyond the class fees paid, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Children should not attend classes if they are ill, particularly if they have a condition that could be passed on to others. Please inform your class teacher if your child develops an illness after attending a BABY COLLEGE® class. Some parents/caregivers may be pregnant and need to make informed decisions about attendance (for example, in the case of rubella).
Photography, video recording, or audio recording is not permitted in any BABY COLLEGE® class without permission from all parents/caregivers present. BABY COLLEGE® may take photos or videos for publicity purposes with parents’ prior consent.
BABY COLLEGE® classes provide focused quality time for one parent or caregiver and one child under three. No additional children may attend or observe without the explicit permission of BABY COLLEGE®. There is no provision for childcare at BABY COLLEGE®.
BABY COLLEGE® will retain your information securely and in accordance with Canadian privacy legislation (PIPEDA). Your details will not be shared with third parties except as required by law. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.
Your teacher has been trained by BABY COLLEGE® to deliver structured, informative, and enjoyable classes in a friendly, relaxed environment. If you have questions about your baby’s or child’s development, please feel free to ask your teacher.
Monthly payment plans: When booking your class, the system will advise you of the monthly fee, which is payable in advance. Our policy is to hold one month of fees as a deposit, which will be returned to you—less any outstanding amounts—upon cancellation. Please note that we do not give credit for lessons that fall within the 30-day notice period if you choose, or are unable, to attend.
Attendance at BABY COLLEGE® classes implies your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement and understanding between the parties in relation to this contract and supersede any previous agreements.
In these Terms & Conditions, BABY COLLEGE® refers to the BABY COLLEGE® licensee or franchisee operating the class attended.
