A six-week somatic movement course, part of The Soma Room - Montrose, delivered in the tradition of Thomas Hanna's Clinical Somatic Education. Gentle, floor-based movement work to reduce everyday tension, stiffness, and restricted movement - paced across six weekly sessions rather than a single intensive weekend, so each new pattern has time to settle before the next one arrives.
Led by Ewan Smith (MBA, CCSE, ESMT), founder of The Soma Room - Montrose.
What to expect: six sessions, 2 hours each, one Thursday morning a week. All levels welcome - no prior somatic or movement experience required.
Venue: Ruthrieston Community Centre, 532–536 Holburn Street, Aberdeen AB10 7LL. Level access via ramp, with parking on site.
Price: £180 for the full six-week series. New to this? Try Week 1 for £40 before committing.

Please bring:
A yoga mat or similar
Comfortable, loose clothing you can move freely in
A blanket or light layer for the floor-based relaxation portions
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Ruthrieston Community Centre has level access via ramp with on-site parking and if you have any other access needs, please contact us before booking so we can discuss options.
No prior experience with somatic movement is needed. Sessions are gentle and self-paced; you're always welcome to rest or modify at any point.
