After competing in gymnastics for most of her childhood, Ash qualified as a coach at just 14 and coached well into her twenties, before gaining her first fitness qualification in 2009 and switching to a career working with adults. She later went on to qualify as a Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor, the latter a practice she is hugely passionate about.
Ash had practiced yoga for a while, when someone suggested that she try pilates. Whilst Ash loves yoga and always will, something about the pilates practice resonated deeply with her. Something clicked. She became addicted quickly and decided she wanted to learn more. Since qualifying as an instructor, Ash has taught pilates in gyms and health clubs all over Leeds, often teaching to large classes of 30+ people.
Whilst Ash has always enjoyed holistic exercise, she became more involved a couple of years ago when she started suffering with anxiety. A need for mindfulness and meditation within her own routine, ultimately led to her wanting to help others that needed exercise for their mental health. Pilates after all, incorporates Body, Mind and Spirit and Ash believes everybody needs a little 'me time'.
