Ireland surprised us in 2026.
Not because it wasn’t beautiful — we expected that.
But because it taught us something important about what makes a truly exceptional WWOW tour.
We learnt that trying to complete a full lap of Ireland simply asked too much of the roads, the schedule, and ultimately the experience itself. Too many “normal” connecting roads diluted the magic. The real soul of Ireland — the part that genuinely stirs something in you behind the wheel — lives in the West. The Ring of Kerry, the South Coast, Connemara and the Mid-West Atlantic stretches… this is where Ireland becomes extraordinary.
So for 2027, we’ve completely refined the formula.
We’ve removed the unnecessary mileage, eliminated the city grind, and focused almost entirely on the roads and regions that actually deserve your time. Staying away from major cities is no longer a happy accident — it’s now part of the strategy. Better roads. Better scenery. Better flow. Less traffic. More Ireland.
And perhaps most importantly, we discovered that two-night stays change everything.
Instead of endlessly unpacking and repacking, 2027 introduces longer, more relaxed luxury stopovers in carefully selected hotels that genuinely elevate the experience.
We begin at the spectacular cliffside luxury of Cliff House Hotel, where floor-to-ceiling Atlantic views and Michelin-level dining immediately set the tone for the week ahead.
From there we settle into a two-night stay at the elegant Muckross Park Hotel & Spa, perfectly positioned beside Killarney National Park and the legendary Ring of Kerry — allowing time to properly enjoy both the roads and the hotel itself, rather than simply passing through.
Connemara then brings a completely different atmosphere with two nights at the wonderfully characterful Abbeyglen Castle Hotel — an Irish castle hotel full of warmth, views, personality and old-world charm overlooking the Atlantic coastline.
Finally, after days of mountains, coastline and wild Atlantic scenery, we finish with a celebratory final night at the luxurious Clontarf Castle Hotel, where medieval architecture meets modern five-star comfort just minutes from the heart of Dublin’s nightlife and social energy.
