SEASON TICKETS - TERMS AND
CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASERS 2024
FAMILY SEASON TICKETS 2024 - 2 adults and up to 2 children
• This family Ticket/Membership is for 2 adults and up to 2 of their children 15 and under (including foster children) or their student children living at the same address. (Cousins, nephews, nieces, foreign students, carers and child minders DO NOT qualify. Children under 3 years (up to 3rd birthday) are free. For more than 2 children, please purchase an Extra Child season addition.
• Your season ticket is for your personal use and that of your named family members only and is not transferable.
• The season ticket will be booked in the lead family member’s name – it is not currently possible on Bookwhen to specify additional family members but we hope this will be addressed shortly. For this reason, we ask you to email us with the names of your additional family members (depending on the type of Family membership you have bought) – please email info@portisheadopenairpool.org.uk
• Please be prepared to show photo ID if asked for confirmation of your identity.
GENERAL
• Season tickets run from 29 March to 31 October 2024 whenever in the season they are purchased and your membership will cease at the end of the heated season on 31 October.
• Can be used for Lane Swimming and General Swimming sessions. Other sessions, such as Full Moon Swims and Cold-Water Swimming sessions are not included.
• Portishead Open Air Pool tickets are not valid at any other pool.
• It may be necessary to close the pool in severe weather, or in the event of other unsafe conditions, essential maintenance or emergencies. Such decisions will be at the Manager's discretion.
• Season ticket holders can book tickets in advance online or just show up. However, it is recommended to book in advance as we cannot allow walk-ins if the session is at capacity. This is particularly the case with Lane Swimming Sessions which are often booked to capacity. When booking online, you will need to book the exclusive ticket relevant to season ticket holders only (ie free of charge) - you will need to be logged in to the site on your device to do this, so keep a note of your password.
• If you find you cannot attend a session you have booked, you must cancel online before the start of the session. You can do this by clicking on the link in your booking confirmation email. Repeated no shows without cancellation will result in your membership being cancelled.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
• Children under 8 must be supervised in the water by an adult 18 or over, on a 2 children to 1 adult basis. It is recommended that under 5’s are supervised on a one to one basis. Non swimmers and swimmers using buoyancy aids must stay within the designated area of the pool (as marked by the red line and signs). A non swimmer is someone who cannot swim 2 lengths of the pool unaided. The lifeguard’s decision on this will be final.
• Children aged 8 to 15 may use the Pool unaccompanied, if they can swim 2 lengths non-stop competently. Anybody unable to swim 2 lengths non-stop must stay within the designated area and should be closely supervised at all times by an adult aged 18 or over.
• Safety advice given by a lifeguard or the duty manager, and the pool rules and regulations, must be obeyed by all visitors.
• For safety reasons it may be necessary to control entry to the Pool if the bather load is reached; this includes all types of season ticket holders. Details of our policies including our Busy Day Policy can be found on our website - https://www.portisheadopenairpool.org.uk/your-visit/policies/
