Make Your Own Mushroom Growing Bag (MycoBee)

Sunday, 17 September '23   2pm – 5pm BST
MycoBee Stall

Details

Participants will have the opportunity to make mushroom growing bags. Practice is the best way of learning as in mushroom cultivation, the best teachers are mushrooms themselves. The workshop will give you confidence to start your own mushroom growing projects, whether for yourself, to start a community mushroom growing project or your own business. There will be talk on mycovermicomposting, composting with mushroom spend substrate and worms, an introduction to mycoremediation and how mushrooms can save the world.

Bea & Mario, co- funders of Mycobee Mushrooms have been growing mushrooms at home since 2007, foraging since childhood, and from 2019 they run small Mushroom Farm at Fenton Barns, North Berwick. They collaborate with local charities and communities running Mushroom Growing classes.
