Suitable for anyone new to Early Years and Reception, Early Career Teachers, SENDCos, nursery managers, teaching assistants and nursery staff who have not yet attended.

The number of children in mainstream schools and nurseries with SEND is
increasing, but is your environment and daily practice ready to meet the needs of all?
This training aims to support early years staff to blend
mainstream and specialist strategies to create a positive learning experience that will meet the diverse needs within your
setting.

The training will cover the following topics:
•            Building positive relationships with your SEND children to help them thrive
•            Understanding behaviour – ways to prevent and support dysregulation
•            Sensory processing and how to support sensory needs
•            The learning environment – practical tips for setting up the classroom
•            Modelling of provision often included in MSPs and EHCPs
•            Learning activities for children with SEND
•            Signposting to further information on all topics
