Social Distancing Policy
Social distancing measures are steps you can take to reduce social interaction between people. This will help reduce
the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19).
They are to:
Avoid contact with someone who is displaying symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). These symptoms include high temperature and/or new and continuous cough, shortness of breath.
Avoid non-essential touch where possible
Avoid gathering in the reception area of the studio as infections spread easily in closed
Keep a 2m distance while inside the studio and follow the studio entry/exit signage
Please wash or sanitise your hands on entering and exiting the studio
We will be operating a drop and go policy in the studio. If you are not taking part in a class please drop your child at the studio and collect them at the end of their class, your child will not be allowed to exit the building without written authorisation to the instructor/teacher in advance. If your child is 6 years or younger one parent or guardian will be able to wait until child enter their class
Children with medical issues should have one parent or guardian onsite at all times
Please do not enter the studio more than 5 minutes before your class starts
Teachers and pupils will be asked to wear masks where possible
All classes are pre-booked and payment in advance
For all clients/pupils/children/participants in classes or lessons, emergency contact details will need to be provided when booking
Everyone should be trying to follow these measures as much as is practical. We strongly advise you to follow the above measures as much as you can and to significantly limit your face-to-face interaction if possible, particularly if you: • are over 70 • have an underlying health condition • are pregnant This advice is likely to be in place for some weeks and we will revise these in-line with government advice. Please ensure you follow the above policy failure to do so will mean your access to Step by Step Dance Studio may be refused.
Group Lessons - Pupil/Parent Guidance
Step by Step Dance School reopened on 17th May 2021 with new safety measures and social distancing guidelines.
Yes it’s different but we all have a responsibility to reduce social interaction and reduce the transmission of
coronavirus (COVID-19). We are committed to ensuring the safety of our staff and customers so please ensure you
follow our new guidelines as failure to do so may mean your access to Step by Step Dance School is refused.
We
appreciate your cooperation during this time and adherence to the following.
Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your lesson and leave immediately once finished.
All Group Lessons are to be pre-booked. Booking to be made online via the new online system and paid in advance
Customers/clients must complete a COVID-19 waiver form and provide contact details in advance when booking for track and trace purposes
Everyone must sanitise hands on entering and exiting the studio. There is a hand sanitising station by reception. There will also be antibacterial gel available throughout the studio
On entry to the studio, your temperature will be checked to make sure that we are complying with government directive. If a high temperature is recorded, then you will be asked to leave immediately
Children under the age of 14 can be checked in by one parent/guardian (no 2nd parent or siblings will be allowed into the check-in area). If your child is 6 years or younger one parent or guardian will be able to wait until child enter their class
Your child will not be allowed to exit the building without written authorisation to the instructor/teacher in advance
Children should be collected promptly and all adults should wear a mask when entering and exiting the studio
The reception waiting area will be closed until further notice
Use of the restroom is discouraged unless absolutely necessary
There will be no student/teacher physical contact during lessons and teachers will stay in an allocated area which will be maintained using floor markers
Partnering/contact dancing is permitted when members of the same household/support bubble attend together
The studio will be cleaned three times a day and windows open for the duration of the day
Teachers & students should bring a drink from home.
All personal property should be kept to a minimum and dancers must arrive in their dance attire as changing facilities will not be available
