Stories & Supper is a refugee supper club project based in Walthamstow, East London, which aims to challenge some of the myths surrounding the migration crisis. Refugee and non-refugee volunteers work in partnership to produce great food and inspiring stories.
7th October: Shanaz will bring you her signature Hyderabad cuisine.
14th October: A journey through Syrian food with Ahmad.
21st October: Burmese and Bangladeshi fusion food created by local chefs Mariam and Tasnim.
28th October: The return of our talented Sudanese chef Hawari.

After two successful supper clubs so far in 2017, Stories & Supper is now poised to take over the Hornbeam Cafe on Saturday nights in October. With a different chef each week, the team will bring you our signature blend of global cuisine and stories about migration from the people making the journeys.

    The tickets from our events raise about half the money we need to keep going. The supper is the end result of a process which includes English language support, food safety training, project coordination, storytelling workshops, mentoring and more.
