The Anti-Racism Learning Cafés are a series of four interactive virtual sessions designed to deepen your understanding of racism and anti-racism in the context of MSF. These 2-hour cafés are a space to come together in small groups to reflect, discuss, and connect the dots between the content from the Becoming Anti-Racist – Your Role for Change e-learning course and your personal and professional experiences.
Each session builds on the e-learning and supports your journey from being non-racist to becoming actively anti-racist. Together with your facilitators—you’ll unpack foundational concepts, examine how racism shows up in the humanitarian sector and in MSF, and explore tangible actions you can take as an individual and as part of a team.
The Learning Cafés aren’t just about learning—they’re about transformation. Whether you’re new to these conversations or already engaged, you’ll find a supportive environment to grow, ask questions, and co-create a more just and inclusive MSF.

Structure and Registration
To ensure and maintain a safe/brave space to hold conversations, if a participant is unable to attend the first session, they will not be able to continue on the cohort, and they'll be put on a waiting list to attend future cafes.
To successfully complete the cafes, only one absence is permitted as long as it's not the first session of the cafe. If a participant misses the first session or more than one session, they can join a waitlist for future cafes.
To ensure openness and confidentiality, the sessions are not recorded.
Participants must complete each corresponding e-learning module before each session.
If unable to attend the first session, participants must send a notification to the facilitation team upon receiving the first welcome email (approximately one week prior to the beginning of the Cafe) to be considered for future cafes.
