Inis Cealtra Sauna - Heat me happy!

The many physical and mental health benefits of a hot sauna followed by a cold water plunge are well known to a few but not yet experienced by many. In many cultures, also the Irish culture, this hot-cold therapy has been an integral part of their daily lives. At the 2024 Cruinniu na Mara festival, our wood-fired, authentic wooden barrel sauna will be near the pier to allow everyone to experience this ancient but very modern 'way of life' near our incredible ocean.

A genuine sauna session usually consists of three sauna rounds. Each round lasts 10-15 minutes in the hot sauna room and should be followed by cooling down in cold water.
Experience shows that it takes about one hour to get 'SAUNAFIED'. For the festival, we offer 30-minute slots so that everyone can experience the effect in his or her own body.
Warm-uppers can pop in after their swim.

Children are very good sauna-goers. We welcome children from the age of 6, and of course, we will explain to them what the sauna is and how they should always listen to their bodies.

Please book your sauna in advance via this website or 0897009665.
Private/group bookings are available at a reduced rate.

Adults 16+ - €10 per 30 mins | €20 per hour
Children 6-16 - € 5 per 30 mins | €10 per hour

Please book two consecutive slots of 30 mins to book an hour sauna.
To confirm your booking, you do not need to make an online payment; you can pay in cash, with Revolut, or by card before entering the sauna.
