Hello, my name is Helen Jenkins (Hels). I am a qualified BarreConcept instructor and a Level 3 Mat-based Pilates teacher, with specialist training in common orthopaedic conditions. I am also a registered CIMSPA Practitioner, committed to delivering safe, effective, and high-quality movement experiences.

BarreConcept is one of the most exciting and results-driven workouts to emerge globally. Designed for everyone—not just dancers—it blends the precision of Pilates, the technique of ballet, the alignment principles of yoga, and the strength of sports conditioning. This dynamic fusion creates a challenging yet accessible full-body workout that sculpts, tones, and strengthens while remaining low-impact and joint-friendly. Through small, controlled isometric contractions combined with interval-based training, BarreConcept improves cardiovascular fitness, posture, flexibility, stamina, and core strength, while lifting the glutes, toning the thighs, flattening the abdominals, and sculpting the arms. I am proud to be one of the first qualified BarreConcept instructors in Hampshire.

Mat-based Pilates focuses on slow, controlled, flowing movements designed to strengthen the deep core muscles that stabilise the spine, improve alignment, and correct postural imbalances. Emphasis is placed on balance, precision, control, and breathing, helping to build strength, mobility, flexibility, and muscular endurance. I design my classes at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, offering clear adaptations and progressions to suit individual needs, postural types, and abilities. The result is a leaner, stronger, more balanced body—alongside relaxation, confidence, and mental clarity.

In addition to Pilates and BarreConcept, I am also a qualified Gym Instructor, delivering free-weight and circuit-based training focused on cardio fitness, muscular endurance, and overall conditioning. I offer both 1:1 and group sessions, tailoring each programme to individual goals while creating safe, motivating, and energising training environments.

Both Pilates and BarreConcept are suitable for everyone. Together, these disciplines help realign and rebalance the body, allowing it to move efficiently, confidently, and pain-free—supporting both physical strength and overall wellbeing.
