Time Out Therapies Pilates Classes
Time Out Therapies offers clinical, Osteopath-led Pilates classes. This exercise regime, founded by Joseph Pilates and adapted for modern day lifestyles, will promote core stability, flexibility, endurance, postural and body awareness, whilst also providing a workout for the mind, as concentration on every movement is vital. With practise and repetition, your technique will become more precise and any compensatory muscle patterns will be re-trained via motor re-learning.
Classes are mat-based and are suitable for anyone who are able to get on and off the floor.
Before enrolling for regular classes, you need to complete a Fundamentals course and a health screening questionnaire, so that I can understand your exercise aims and ensure it's safe for you to participate. Please contact me (sandra@timeouttherapies.co.uk) if there are no Fundamental classes, as I will endeavour to set one up at a mutually convenient time. Once you successfully complete your Fundamentals course you will be given a password, which will enable you to book Beginners or Intermediate classes, depending upon your Pilates experience. In order to progress onto Intermediate / Advanced or Advanced classes you need to be injury free and have worked at an intermediate level for approximately 1 year (prior Pilates class attendance will be taken into consideration), so a separate password is required.
