‘In stillness the muddied water returns to clarity’

This workshop is an invitation to come and let it be, to take time out from our everyday movements and drop deep into the dance of Stillness.

The maps of the 5Rhythms and the inspiration of bespoke, improvised live music will guide dancers on a deep and restorative journey, accompanied by atmospheric guitars, ethereal vocals and hypnotic rhythms. We will draw on the teachings of the final rhythm of Stillness; dancing to discover our presence and a kind of quiet aliveness, a state of being to help navigate the chaos of the times we are living in. Moving with wisdom, compassion and inspiration, this is the rhythm from where we can truly see.

At this time of year and in this current world situation we meditate in movement on the state of internal and external peace.

Nikki brings two decades of movement wisdom to her 5Rhythms practice. She weaves her theatre background with embodied movement to create transformative experiences for dancers of all ages and abilities. Recent collaborations with live musicians including Alex add another layer of magic to the dance.

Alex is a multi instrumentalist and long-term dancer. His music ranges from deep meditative soundscapes to uplifting lyrical rhythms, drawing inspiration from nature and his global journeys. With over a decade of experience performing in meditative and movement spaces, Alex’s music is both grounded and transcendent.
