FAQ
What should I bring to the sound bath?
If you are not attending a floating sound bath please bring a yoga mat and blanket and anything else you need to feel comfortable and warm. Yoga mats are not provided. It’s also recommended that you bring a bottle of water. We do provide eye masks but you can bring your own if you have one.
What should I wear to a floating/non floating sound bath?
Wear whatever you are comfortable in. Most people wear leisure wear, comfies and even PJs! If you want to wear a swimsuit for the floating sound bath you can but you don’t have to as you don’t get wet. Please don’t wear jeans or denim shorts for the floating sound bath as the metal studs may pierce the floats. You will be asked to remove footwear before going into the pool room.
Who Can Attend a Sound Bath?
Everyone is welcome to attend a sound bath, including children 14yrs and over. Please do not bring younger children with you as they are unlikely to lay for an hour and may cause disturbance to the group.
Who Shouldn’t Attend a Sound Bath?
Sound baths, sound healing and vibrational therapy is not recommended for people with the following:
• First trimester of pregnancy.
• Metal implants as the frequencies may cause the metal to vibrate and cause discomfort.
• Pacemaker.
• Cochlea implant or severe tinnitus.
• Noise sensitivity.
• Severe mental health conditions.(PTSD, Schizophrenia, however it is great for generalised anxiety, stress and depression)
• Epilepsy or people who experience seizures of any kind.
• Anyone under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs. If you would like to speak to me about any of the above, please contact me and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Please arrive in good time. The sessions will start promptly and doors will be locked for safety at some venues. This is also to prevent noise disturbances from late arrivals. If you arrive late to a floating sound bath you will be asked to lay poolside so you don’t disturb other people floating on the pool.
