Yoga Foundations - Day Workshop

Saturday, 2 April '22   10am – 4pm BST
The Beehive Centre, 19A Stretford Road, Whitehall, Bristol, BS5 7AW
6 spaces available

A day to dive deeper into & discover your yoga practice, with personalised guidance & community connection.

A day long workshop to give you a chance to gain a deeper understanding of yoga & begin to develop your own practice. A practice which invites you to explore how the vastness of yoga goes far beyond the yoga mat and also to have the time to connect with fellow practitioners in your local area.

The schedule for the day will loosely be as follows*:

10am - 10.30pm: Arrival & opening circle

10.30pm - 1pm: Asana (physical) practice, focussing on one particular asana/series of asanas e.g. sun salutations with personalised guidance from me.

1 - 2pm: Shared lunch (optional)

2 - 3pm: Yoga Philosophy talk, applying selected elements of yoga philosophy to our asana practice and beyond the mat.

3pm - 3.30pm: Yoga nidra, to ground our learning in the body through rest.

3.30 - 4pm: Closing Circle

*subject to change based on the needs of the group.

All bodies, abilities & experiences are welcome. LGBTQI + friendly. I share my offerings through the lens of trauma-informed yoga, decolonisation & anti-oppression.

Bring along your mat, a blanket and any props you usually use. Additional props will be provided.
