Yoga is for everyone, no matter your age, body shape or fitness levels.
Yogasara offers a part 1 and a part 2 beginners course. We recommend you start at part 1 as its a helpful integration, but you can join the courses in any order. Part 2 is not harder that part 1, it covers different content such as warrior poses and more standing asana so please do book onto part 2 if it feels more suitable.
Yoga practiced regularly is a complete tonic for your mind, body and overall wellbeing. A practice that can help you gain more self confidence & self- awareness, so you can make better choices for you emotionally, mentally and physically.
Breathing - simple breathing techniques that can increase your energy, calm your mind and give you more clarity.
Asana (postures) - You don't need to be flexible to do Yoga but you will build strength and stability, once you learn how to do the postures safely for your body type
Meditation & Relaxation - I will guide you through some simple practices that will help calm you nervous system and remind your body how to relax, so you can move more easily between activity & rest
Yogic Philosophy - Kindness, Contentment, Truth, Non- attachment, Non -Grasping & more - guiding principles to find more steadiness & ease in your life. I will weave these into the teaching in a practical & realistic way.
Yoga isn't just about making physical shapes, its not simply an exercise that you do & go home. Understanding Yoga as a whole will enable you to bring the practice into your life, so it can help support you where-ever you go and with whatever challenges you face, emotionally, mentally and physically.

"Extremely welcoming, non-judgemental, lovely class. I was an absolute beginner and found it a wonderful, empowering experience from day one. I loved finding out about the philosophy of yoga and building upon this to find my breath then start to learn some of the poses. After repeating both foundation courses several times it’s completely changed my outlook on life and my wellbeing. This course has helped me to relieve stress, greatly reduce the number of migraines I have and enabled me to feel strong both mentally and physically. Katie is a truly inspiring teacher and I can’t recommend this course enough to anyone who wants to feel good."
"Highly recommended for anyone even slightly interested in yoga or learning to breathe better, deal with stress, etc. Very welcoming and non judgemental."
