Pells Pool Booking System

The only place for booking tickets is our online system. Our 2021 booking arrangements are:

  • we are an unheated pool: the pool temperature is now 10C at 3 November;
  • you will automatically receive email confirmation of your booking when it has been made and completed;
  • if you don't get email, it may be because email address you entered was mistyped, so please check email carefully;
  • in purchasing a ticket you agree to follow all reasonable lifeguard requests when in the pool;
  • you are advised to book in advance, but any remaining unbooked spaces can be booked in on the door;
  • you can also book tickets in person at the kiosk for future sessions;
  • no refunds are provided, once tickets are booked;
  • we do not provide refunds in the event of rain, since all sessions continue whatever the weather;
  • you can return a ticket on this system (click on "view booking" from confirmation email) to allow someone else to use the session, although this does not provide you with a refund;
  • tickets can this year be moved from one session to another available session (where ticket is at the same price or lower), not later than three days in advance;
  • if the red "no entry" symbol shows it means the session is fully booked;
  • using the waiting list system, you can add your name to the waiting list for a fully booked session - if spaces come free this operates automatically using email notifications every 20 mins;
  • tickets cannot be transferred to other people - they have to be booked for a specific, named person;
  • but you can book in a friend as a swimmer, we need their name, but not their email;
  • sessions will always go ahead, irrespective of the weather;
  • we will notify those with bookings, in the very unlikely event that sessions are cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances;
  • children under 10 cannot be admitted without a paying adult;
  • children over 10 can be admitted on their own to the general/family sessions;
  • if temperature drops below 15C then no children are admitted & we refund child admission (and accompanying adults);
  • adults wishing to come into the pool area (even if not swimming) with a child must have an adult admission ticket;
  • payments are made using credit and debit card, via Stripe. You do NOT need a Stripe account to make a payment;
  • we will need to have the name and contact information (email address for over-16s) for each person attending. This is both for the operation of the system and the track and trace system requirements;
  • we can sell tickets in advance or on the door, using this same system, from the kiosk for anyone who has no internet access;
  • when booking tickets you will have to agree to the full terms and conditions, which include these requirements.
