People of all abilities are welcome to join! Although our 12 week courses are aimed at developing beginner’s skills, we will tailor to everyone’s capabilities. Sessions are held in the purpose built class area of the studio, where we like to create a comfortable, fun environment. No need to bring anything with you as we’ll provide all materials, tools, aprons and equipment needed.

Over the first 4-5 weeks everyone covers basic techniques such as throwing on the wheel, hand building, mould work, decorating and glazing. After this you are encouraged to develop your own projects and ideas with the support of the teacher and others on the course. The cost of a 12 week course in Peckham is £370, which doesn’t include the cost of materials, which is £5 per 1kg of fired pot (e.g. a teacup is around £1).

Our 5 week taster course vouchers are perfect for anyone who is interested in trying their hand at ceramics. The £240 cost covers all materials and firings (for one person), meaning that there are no additional charges.

Our taster courses take place over 5 consecutive weeks on Thursday evenings (6.30pm - 9.30pm) at our Copeland Park studio in Peckham.

5 week taster course details:

Our taster session vouchers are perfect for anyone who is interested in trying their hand at ceramics. The voucher can be purchased as a gift, or for yourself and will be redeemable until the expiry date displayed on this booking page / your booking confirmation. The £120 cost covers all materials and firings (for one person), meaning that there are no additional charges.

This voucher entitles the recipient to book ANY of our available Saturday or Sunday one-off taster sessions & is valid for one year from date of purchase.

One-off taster session details:
This voucher entitles the recipient to redeem a 4.5 hour session which is aimed at complete beginners and provides an insight into the possibilities of working with clay.

We will introduce people to throwing on a wheel and hand building through demonstrations and plenty of hands on exercises. We then fire and glaze 3-4 pieces of work made, which can be collected 3-4 weeks later. We will also walk through other skills such as decorating, glazing and mould work, providing a good understanding of what goes on in a ceramics studio.
