This voucher entitles the recipient to book ANY of our available Saturday or Sunday one-off taster sessions & is valid for one year from purchase.

Our taster session vouchers are perfect for anyone who is interested in trying their hand at ceramics. The voucher can be purchased as a gift, or for yourself and will be redeemable until the expiry date displayed on this booking page / your booking confirmation. The £95 cost covers all materials and firings (for one person), meaning that there are no additional charges.

Vouchers for one-off taster sessions are valid in our new studio in Farringdon, opening Spring 2024, as well as in Peckham.

One-off taster session details:
This voucher entitles the recipient to redeem a 4.5 hour session which is aimed at complete beginners and provides an insight into the possibilities of working with clay.

We will introduce people to throwing on a wheel and hand building through demonstrations and plenty of hands on exercises. We then fire and glaze 3-4 pieces of work made, which can be collected 3-4 weeks later. We will also walk through other skills such as decorating, glazing and mould work, providing a good understanding of what goes on in a ceramics studio.

This course is for 18+ only.

How to redeem:
Once a voucher has been purchased, you will receive an automated email as receipt and another E-voucher email (which can be forwarded on if the voucher is for someone else), with further instructions on how to redeem. Both emails will include your unique booking reference code.

Dates for taster sessions can be chosen by the recipient once the voucher has been purchased & they will be able to select from a range of available dates before the expiry date displayed. If the recipient is looking for a future date not yet showing, please email info@thekilnrooms.com & we can keep in touch with future taster session details.

Non Attendance:
In the event of non-attendance or arriving late to classes, it is not possible to provide alternative studio time, or for a class to be rescheduled. Classes are at fixed times to cover the cost of tuition. We run at full capacity so it is not possible to swap classes or use the studio outside of the allotted class times.

Refunds:
From date of purchase, there is a 14 day grace period where a full refund (minus £5 administration fee) will be offered, should you change your mind. After 14 days, the voucher will become non-refundable / non-exchangeable.

Once someone is booked onto a session they have 10 days before the session takes place to move the booking to an alternative date. 9 days or later, the booking will be fixed and only a name transfer will be possible.

The £230 cost covers all materials and firings (for one person), meaning that there are no additional charges.

Vouchers for 5 week taster courses are valid in our Peckham & Farringdon studios.

Our taster courses take place over 5 consecutive weeks & we have course options on Thursday evenings, Friday evenings & Saturday mornings in Peckham, as well as Tuesday evenings in Farringdon.

5 week taster course details:
Weeks 1-4 you will be introduced to different techniques such as hand building, throwing and decorating through demonstrations and plenty of hands on exercises. In week 5 you will be taken through the glazing process and glaze the work you have made. These sessions will be held in the class area of The Kiln Rooms where we create a comfortable, fun environment for everyone to enjoy. No need to bring anything with you as we’ll provide all materials, tools, aprons and equipment needed. There are between 10-12 people on a class.

This course is for 18+ only.

Refunds once booked on to a course:
20 days or more before the start date of a course, we can provide a full refund (minus a £5 booking fee). Between 20 and 10 days prior to the start of a course we will refund 50% of the total fees paid (minus a £5 booking fee). We provide NO refunds 9 days before the start date of the course. Once the course begins there are no refunds.
