Croydon Sailing Club RYA Learn To Sail Courses

Croydon Sailing Club is a registered RYA Training Centre. The club provides a mix of adult Learn to Sail courses and youth beginner taster sessions.
Due to limited availability of instructors it provides learn to sail courses for members only.
Our 2026 Training season starts after Easter when the water temperature rises, the fishing season on the lake is closed and winds are likely to be favourable.
Our Annual Open Day is on May Day Bank Holiday Monday 4th May providing sailing taster sessions as part of Friends of South Norwood Lake Park Event and there is no pre-booking this year so activity is provided on a first come first served basis with a voluntary donation to our nominated charity fund requested.

Course dates are published below. Newly trained club members have the opportunity then to practise their skills on light evenings and warmer days through Spring and Summer with support from experienced club members at Go Sailing club sessions.
