Sun Style Tai Chi is characterized by agile footwork and is sometimes known as ‘lively stepping’ Tai Chi. Emphasis on the circulation of qi and health benefits make it a very popular style . The unique footwork promotes agility, strength and balance. Sun Style is gentle, smooth, and soft, movements are fluid. It focuses on using mind (yi) to lead the qi (energy) and use qi to move the body. Movements are led by intent rather than physical force.
In this course we will be learning the Basic 6 and Advanced 6 Movements, collectively called Sun 12. This will give a good foundation to progress to the longer forms.
For the sessions, please wear loose comfortable clothing and flat, soft soled shoes.
