Yin and Yoga Nidra workshop

Details

Join us for a winter solstice Yin and Yoga Nidra 1h 45min workshop.

Take a moment.

Take a deep breath in… and let a soft sigh fall out.

Close your eyes and notice what unfolds: thoughts drifting in, emotions rising and settling, tiny physical sensations you may have been too busy to feel. Watch them all. Welcome them all. Give yourself this moment to check in.

Our nervous system moves through different states — relaxed, fight-or-flight, or freeze/shutdown. These states are natural, part of your body’s built-in survival mechanism, coded into your DNA. They’re not “bad,” and you are definitely not broken, it’s all a normal part of life. Sometimes, though, we can get stuck in a state, and that’s when we feel tense, anxious, or exhausted.

Yoga gives us the tools to recognise our current state and gently guide ourselves into another — moving from stress to calm, from tension to release. It’s not about fixing anything; it’s about giving yourself the space and time to pause, notice, and let go.

In this workshop, we’ll begin with Yin Yoga, holding gentle poses for several minutes. These long-held postures help release tension in deep connective tissues, ease stiff joints, and soften both body and mind. You might notice areas you didn’t even realise were tight, and experience a sense of spaciousness and ease.

We’ll then move into Yoga Nidra, a guided meditative rest that takes you to the edge of sleep while keeping awareness intact. In this state, your nervous system can truly reset, your mind can release, and your body can rest deeply. Many people describe this as more restorative than sleep itself.

And here’s something to notice: thoughts, like sounds, arise and fade on their own. Meditation isn’t about stopping them — it’s about watching how they move, and discovering that you don’t need to chase or hold onto anything.

If you’ve been running on low energy, feeling stretched thin, or craving a moment just for you, this workshop is a gentle invitation to pause, breathe, and reconnect. Leave feeling lighter, restored, and nourished — ready to step back into your life with calm and clarity.
