The Sandbox Cafe

Nestled in the heart of the Lakes, The Sandbox Café is Keswick’s unique family-friendly spot where great coffee meets good fun. Our special feature? A sandpit area featuring radio controlled diggers, loading shovels and tipper lorries. There's something for everyone, especially those 'big-kids'.

We have a range of all metal, 1:14 scale, fully radio controlled models to choose from. Made up of a fleet of diggers, loading shovels and tipper lorries, all of our 30 minute sessions run from 'on the hour'. Please aim to arrive 10 minutes before your booked slot. This will allow you time to get booked in, grab yourself a drink (maybe even some cake too... because, why not?) and to run through the controls with one of our team members.

Please note, we ask that children are supervised by a responsible adult at all times. The recommended age from the model manufacturer is 14+. Younger children are of course more than welcome to join in but we ask that they are closely supervised by an adult. We've had lots of families join us with children as young as 18 months sat on Mum or Dad's knee whilst Mum or Dad drives whilst the child 'helps'.
