What to expect

This private class is designed for complete beginners or improvers who’d like focused, individual guidance. You’ll learn the key stages of wheel throwing; centring, pulling, and shaping clay, with plenty of hands-on support throughout.

Includes: All materials, tools, and firing

You’ll finish with a small selection of your own thrown pieces, which we’ll glaze and fire for you to collect once they’re ready.

Treat yourself or someone special to a creative experience with clay. Our pottery taster sessions are the perfect way to explore handbuilding in a relaxed, friendly studio. In this 2.5 hour class, you’ll learn simple slab techniques and make your own piece, which we’ll glaze and fire for you to collect later.

No experience is needed, just curiosity and enthusiasm. All materials are included.

In this 2 hour class, you’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing, including preparing the clay, centring, and shaping a simple form. With guidance from your tutor, you’ll create one or two pieces on the wheel.

At the end of the session, you’ll choose a glaze for your favourite piece, and we’ll glaze and fire it for you to collect later.
