What to expect

This private class is designed for complete beginners or improvers who’d like focused, individual guidance. You’ll learn the key stages of wheel throwing; centring, pulling, and shaping clay, with plenty of hands-on support throughout.

Duration: 1.5 hours
Includes: All materials, tools, and firing

You’ll finish with a small selection of your own thrown pieces, which we’ll glaze and fire for you to collect once they’re ready.

This £80 voucher is valid on art workshops within the £78–£83 range at the time of booking. From drawing and painting to seasonal and materials-led sessions, there’s a range of classes to choose from.

Treat yourself or someone special to a creative experience with clay. Our pottery taster voucher can be used for either a pottery wheel throwing session or a handbuilding session in our relaxed, friendly studio.

Wheel Throwing Taster
Learn the basics of throwing on the wheel, including preparing the clay, centring, and shaping a simple form. With guidance from your tutor, you'll create one or two pieces on the wheel.

Handbuilding Taster
Explore simple slab-building techniques and create your own unique piece using clay, texture, and decoration.

Whichever session you choose, you'll select a glaze for your favourite piece and we'll glaze and fire it for you to collect later.

No experience is needed, just curiosity and enthusiasm. All materials are included.
