Pregnancy and Beyond Birth classes
The Bump Room was established in 2012. We are a group of Chartered Physiotherapists with experience and passion for women and women's health.
Our core values are making a difference, compassion, well-being, and collaboration.
Our intention is to hold a space for women, to listen, reassure and motivate women to exercise in pregnancy and beyond birth. Empowering women as they transition to Motherhood.
We collaborate with each other using our experience, the clinical evidence and current guidelines for exercise in pregnancy.
Exercise is critical and we are here to dispel any myths and cultural fears around exercise in pregnancy and beyond birth. We have lived and witnessed all of the benefits:
Maintains fitness and strength leading to increased endurance and stamina (essential for the athletic event that is pregnancy AND the birth AND recovery)
Maintains a healthy weight and improves body awareness
Improves social and emotional well being
Reduces risk of gestational diabetes, hypertensive disease and preterm birth

Our classes are not only exercise, all our classes finish with knowledge sharing, this includes physio advice and tips, insights from our experience and providing a safe space to learn and connect.
WE CURRENTLY HAVE 14 DIFFERENT CLASSES, EACH CLASS RUNS WITH THE SAME INSTRUCTOR AT THE SAME TIME FOR FIVE WEEKS FROM THE START DATE BELOW.
If you book two classes in a block there is a 10% discount.
The content of our classes is chosen by physiotherapists to both challenge and support women as your body changes. The class content is a mix of strengthening, aerobics, pilates, yoga and mobility exercises, no previous experience is required. These classes work whether you are a walker or a weight lifter.
