Fontburn Reservoir will be closed for Angling from Monday 16 September 2024 and will reopen in March 2025.
We need to carry out some essential works to the reservoir to ensure we provide our customers with the highest levels of water quality and customer service well into the future from our onsite treatment works.
The works involves closing access to the north shore and drawdown of the reservoir. All of our other stocked trout waters remain open as normal.
We would like to thank our customer for their understanding whilst we complete these works.
Derwent Reservoir On Saturday 12 October we are hosting a Charity Coarse Fishing event at Derwent Reservoir in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance.
The anglers will be fishing from designated pegs and we would politely ask that if you are pleasure fishing you leave those areas clear and do not set up in between the pegs.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding, let’s hope for a great event that raises lots of money for a lifesaving Charity.
Grassholme Reservoir Because of safety concerns relating to the roof of the building, Grassholme Reservoir has had to close to visitors with immediate effect.
Contractors have been called to repair the tiles that have become loose but until they do, there is a health and safety risk. In the meantime, alternative fishing sites include Hury and Derwent.
From Monday 30th September, Hury will be open for any method fishing
Hury Reservoir The disable platform is not accessible at this time. Alternatively, please use Derwent Reservoir. From 30th September, Hury is open to any method trout fishing.
