Having previously taken a somewhat laissez faire approach for bookings in the past with a drop-in class, I'm afraid I've had to switch to using a booking system for contactless payments, limiting my class sizes in addition to track and trace purposes. I hope that in the log run, we'll probably all find this a lot easier...and I'm also looking forward to learning a lot more names!
For those who have not been to one of my classes previously, you will find them to be gentle and not overtly spiritual. The priority is to relieve built-up tension in the body and stress in the mind. This sort of Yoga (Sam's Yoga) works well as a supplement to other exercises such as running and cycling in addition to weight training - all of which I dabble in myself. I have found that adding a little yoga into the mix once (or twice) a week helps me to maintain good posture and avoid injury. I also have a 'day job' which involves sitting in front of a screen, plus kids, housework etc...and personally, I just find taking a little time out to focus on myself and my body helps iron out those knots and make me a much nicer person to be around.
In the short term, the new restrictions in place will take some getting used to but I'm confident we'll overcome all those worries once the class starts and we'll all be glad we turned up.
